Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology on rejoining Horizon Europe
Michelle Donelan, the UK government's Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, made a statement in parliament on re-joining Horizon Europe.
As Liberal Democrats, we've criticised the government for not signing up earlier to this program. The lack of progress in the past three years has been massively damaging to UK science and also to the UK economy. Companies and research institutes have moved to Europe to benefit from participation.
Many Liberal Democrat members in the UK and around Europe have been involved in common Europe-wide science and other academic projects. They can testify to their success.
We also want to see the UK participate in other European Programmes and will continue our campaigns.
