Theresa May Should Cancel Brexit

Theresa May is in Brussels today requesting a short extension to the Brexit process. "She should just cancel Brexit" said Robert Harrison, Chair of the Liberal Democrats in Europe.

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, the British Prime Minister visited Berlin and Paris to discuss her plans with the leaders of Germany and France. She was greeted in Berlin with a poster from the local liberal Party FDP urging her to cancel Brexit.

We believe that any deal that Theresa May should be put to a confirmatory vote with the option of the UK remaining in the EU or leaving the UK with an agreement. We know many Europeans believe that the European Union would be better off with the UK contributing to reform and we are grateful of the support shown by our fellow Europeans.
